Sayulitanimals was founded by a group of local residents in Sayulita, Mexico in response to the problems of over-population of cats and dogs, sick and neglected pets and street animals, lack of knowledge in the community about animals , and unwanted pets. Sayulitanimals plans to change this dismal situation through our four programs: free spay and neuter to all animals, community education and awareness, adoption and foster assistance, and medical aid for street animals.

BLACKRAPID supports SayulitAnimals by providing them a kiosk in town to bring awareness to the animals as well as giving them a place to sell merchandise to provide funds for all of their great work. The brand loves their mission and happy to play a small part in every animal saved!

BLACKRAPID in the Community – Youth in Focus

This past spring Ron Henry, fonder of BLACKRAPID spent a day with the kids and faculty of Youth in Focus, an organization based in Seattle that helps youth who might otherwise lack the means or guidance to do more constructive things with their lives.

“Youth in Focus is an afterschool program that uses intensive photography training as a tool to help disadvantaged teens develop personal voice, positive identity, social skills and artistic skills. We offer free, multi-level classes for teens ages 13-19 in both film and digital photography, and advanced students participate in our job skills project shooting assignments for hire. Classes are taught by professional teaching artists and supported by volunteer adult mentors. In this way we create a community of support around our students that both encourages and challenges them on their journey to a positive adulthood.” – (From youthinfocus.org)
